First Unitarian works in conjunction with our sister organization, Urban Partners Los Angeles, to offer several programs designed to serve our community.

“without limits” free Math and reading program

Saturday from 10am-12pm. These free classes teach basic math skills to children in the surrounding neighborhood. Classes are conducted by volunteers from our church and UPLA.

FOOD DISTRIBUTION to families in need

Our volunteers distribute hundreds of bags groceries free of charge to our neighbors in need every Saturday from 7am-1pm.

YOGA CLASSES

Saturday at 11am in the church basement. Join us for free yoga classes for beginners and in Spanish from Solidad Ramirez. Just bring comfortable clothes.

FIELD TRIPS

Periodically, we offer field trips in partnership with the Sierra Club to destinations around the Los Angeles area, like Bolsa Chica Wetlands, the Museum of Natural History, and Malibu Canyon State Park. Neighborhood children have an opportunity not only to explore an area beyond their neighborhood but also to learn from Sierra Club guides about wildlife. And they have fun, too!
